This course will help you ensure the handling of challenging situations which may occur during disciplinaries and grievances is fair and proportionate.

Description
You will start the course off by looking at examples of disciplinaries, as well as the benefits of having a disciplinary procedure in place and the responsibilities of the manager and the employee.
You will then consider the possible types of misconduct and gross misconduct, as well as investigations, suspensions and verbal warnings. You will also gain knowledge on ACAS six-step disciplinary procedure in detail.
You will explore the types of sanctions that can be imposed if allegations of misconduct are proven against an employee. Including first and final written warnings and dismissals.
You will also explore what grievances are, the types of grievances, why someone may raise a grievance and the possible outcomes of a grievance. The course will finish by exploring the grievance procedure and appeals.
In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.
You will earn 3 CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around 3 hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.
